 Introduction
CryoSystems designs and manufactures complete cryogenic microwave systems for enhancing RF performance, and aims to be Europe ’s leading supplier in this field.
Our Cryogenic Mast Head Amplifiers (CMHA) are designed to be deployed in wireless networks of all kinds to provide performance enhancements which are beyond the capabilities of standard systems.
The performance differential offered by our systems comes from maximizing receiver sensitivity. This is achieved by integrating cryogenic low noise amplifiers with precise and highly selective superconducting filters in a unit which is small enough to be mounted on the mast close to the antenna.
We minimize signal degradation, interference and noise, allowing for a clean signal to pass through to the base station with only minimal loss, hence maximizing base station range, coverage and capacity.
Background
CryoSystems was founded in 1999 by a highly experienced materials scientist and an international expert in microwave engineering. They have pooled their knowledge and experience to focus on the development of a complete system for enhancing RF performance.
The founders collaborated in the mid-90’s on an EU-funded project which proved in field trials that cryogenic RF units could increase base station range, coverage and capacity by a substantial margin.
The Company has brought together a team with decades of experience in:
- Microwave research and development
- Development and application of superconducting materials
- System design and production
CryoSystems is based in a laboratory, manufacturing and office facility in Luton , UK .
CryoSystems maintains a close relationship with the University of Birmingham ’s Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, with whom the Company has an exclusive research commercialization agreement in the field of RF research and design.
